Clerk III Assistant Principal's Secretary - Mendon High School | | The Pittsford Central School District is seeking an Assistant Principal's Secretary for Mendon High School. This is a 10-month position with paid holidays and benefits. The days/hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. This is an entry-level secretarial position responsible for performing routine secretarial tasks. The use of a personal computer for word processing and database entry is an integral part of this position. The successful employee will serve as secretarial support to the building. The work is done in accordance with well-defined objectives, policies and procedures, but detailed instructions are given for new or difficult assignments. The work is typically submitted in its final form and is subject to general review by superiors. Independent judgment is restricted to the application of standard procedures to specific cases. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of building administration and/or a higher-level staff member. Typical duties of the assistant principal secretary may include but not be limited to: - Prepares and formats legal documents, certifications, authorizations, forms, and other related paperwork
- Enters and extracts data and information from a database
- Posts and maintains moderately difficult records requiring general knowledge of department or agency functions
- Schedules conferences and meetings, ensuring all participants are contacted, while resolving any scheduling conflicts;
- Type materials from copy, rough draft, or other instructions
- Prepares and types correspondence on matters where policy and procedures are well-defined
- Reviews lists, documents, and applications for completeness and accuracy
- Compiles, prepares, types, and reviews data for completeness and accuracy
- Performs searches for information in documents, records, files, and computer databases
- Maintains databases and filing systems
- Obtains and gives out information by telephone, correspondence, or in person
- Operates standard office machines such as a computer, copier, and fax machine

Food Service Helper 2024-2025 | | Pittsford Schools is seeking a Food Service Helper for Mendon HS. This is a part-time position, Monday–Friday from 9am–1pm during the school year. The successful candidate will perform simple, routine, manual work in the preparation and serving of food in a cafeteria or other dining area. The candidate will also be responsible for cleaning, kitchen equipment and utensils and non-disposable eating utensils, glassware, and china. This work will be performed under the direct and close supervision of a supervisor. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (All need not be performed in a given position. Other related activities may be performed although not listed) - Prepares ingredients for salads, sandwiches, and cold plates
- Portions and garnishes all desserts, salads, and fruits for serving
- Trims, washes and prepares vegetables
- Sets up serving lines with condiments, hot and cold foods, and table services
- Serves food from steam table or food line in a cafeteria-style operation
- Washes and sanitizes all pots, pans, and utensils
- Cleans and dries silver, china, and glassware
- Fills napkin holders, and holders for utensils and straws
- Operates kitchen appliances and equipment
- Advises students of well-balanced meals
