The Pittsford Central School District is seeking an educational leader to assume the role of Assistant Principal at Barker Road Middle School. The successful candidate will serve as the deputy administrator to the Middle School Principal. As an educational leader, the successful candidate will be responsible, under the direction of the Principal, for supporting day to day operations and positively impacting each student's personal development and future success through maximizing academic performance, social-emotional learning and the creation and maintenance of a safe environment.
Barker Middle School serves approximately 700 students in grades 6-8 and has a total staff of 120. Consistently ranked as one of the top middle schools in New York State and honored by National Schools to Watch, Barker is proud of the depth and breadth of opportunities it provides for students to learn and grow through academics, the arts and a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
Start date: July 1, 2019 or as soon thereafter as reasonably possible.
Must hold a valid NYS Administrator’s Certification (SBL or SAS) and have administrative experience demonstrating a history of successful teaching/student support services and leadership within the school setting.
